The 5^th International Conference on Logic and Cognition

The academic conference on Logic and Cognition is held once every year from 2001. It is sponsored and organized by Institute of Logic and Cognition which is one of the key research institutes of humanities and social sciences in Universities affiliated to the Chinese Ministry of Education. In 2006, the 5^th International Conference on Logic will take place in Sun Yat-sen University. The details are as follows:

Theme: Logic and Language

Conference Objectives:

To promote the study of logic and philosophy in China; to provide opportunities for international communication; to improve understanding in related disciplines; to identify important problems; to introduce on-going research and to explore future cooperation possibility.

Papers and Submissions:

Authors are invited to submit full papers, each containing the paper title, the authors’ names and affiliations, complete address (including e-mail, fax and phone of the corresponding author), before April 15, 2006, by e-mail to hsdp07@sysu.edu.cn (Prof. Xiong Minghui). The language is English (A4, single space, Times Roman 10 points). The paper will be reviewed by the program committee based on content, presentation and suitability for the conference. The papers must be in a MS Word format.

Registration:

The registration of the participants will take place on May 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. at the Zijing Hotel.

Local transportation

The Baiyun Airport: It’s economy to take the free bus in the airport first, then come to the south campus of Sun Yat-sen University by taxi, or If you wish to take taxi directly, please, notice that the normal cost does not exceed 150 yuan.

The Guangzhou Railway Station: It’s more convient to take the subway (line 2) to our campus at Zhongda stop. Or you can take a bus 211 or 203. Its ternimal stop is “Sun Yat-sen University”. If you wish to take taxi, the normal cost is 40 yuan.

The East Guangzhou Railway Station: If you take the subway (line 1), you have to transfer to line 2 at Gongyuanqian stop, then get off at Zhongda stop. Or you can take a bus 45 or 263. Its ternimal stop is “Sun Yat-sen University”. If you wish to take taxi, the normal cost is 30 yuan.
